X-Force Philadelphia

Located in the heart of Center City, X-Force Philadelphia exclusively features X-Force machines. The 5,000 sq. ft. facility is outfitted with custom X-Force equipment, brand-new executive shower and locker rooms and a lounge to recharge in after your weight-training session. The facility boasts high ceilings, expansive windows and new, modern amenities to enhance your X-Force experience.

Roger Schwab

Roger has been a pioneer in weight training for decades. He was college football’s first strength and conditioning coach (Penn State 1964-1965) and the man who introduced the Nautilus training and equipment system to Philadelphia in 1976. From 1976 to 2015, he was the owner and operator of Main Line Health & Fitness, recognized by Men’s Health as the finest workout in the United States. Roger was also named by the magazine as one of the top personal trainers in the U.S.

Roger trained both the U.S.A. Women’s Olympic Swimming and Field Hockey teams. He also trained Mike Mentzer for the 1978 Mr. Universe and the 1980 Mr. Olympia competitions, and served as Head Judge of the International Federation of Bodybuilders, Professional Division, from 1978-1982.

A nationally recognized leader in the prevention and rehabilitation of sports related injuries, Roger has conducted important research into the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries of the soft tissues of the lumbar and cervical spine. He is also the author of over 100 articles in national publications on strength training and bodybuilding, and published the acclaimed book, “Strength of a Woman,” in 1997. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame for excellence in Sports/Medicine in 2008.

In 2012, Roger introduced X-Force “negative accentuated” exercise in the U.S. He is currently the owner-operator of X-Force Philadelphia, and is a lecturer and featured speaker on the benefits of “eccentric” training in stimulating a systemic physiological effect.

Elanna Schwab

After owning and operating a successful health club in Tel Aviv, Elanna returned to Philadelphia, where she and Roger operated Main Line Health & Fitness, recognized as one of the top health clubs in the United States. The fourth recipient of Philadelphia’s “Fit Woman of the Year” award, Elanna is a certified personal trainer and spinning instructor, a champion Dragon Boat paddler and one of the first personal trainers certified to train clients on X-Force equipment.

Colleen Gerg

Colleen Gerg is a Registered Dietitian whose holistic approach to counseling is based on her belief that one’s body, mind and spirit critically impacts overall health. A nutrition consultant since 1995, Colleen has assisted countless patients in achieving weight loss or gain, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, improving GI function, managing blood sugar, creating positive relationships with food, enhancing athletic performance and many other conditions and goals.

A personal fitness trainer for 17 years and yoga instructor for 4, she believes that nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and stress reduction are equally important to optimum health, happiness and longevity.

Colleen completed her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, her Masters degree at Immaculata University and dietetic internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Formerly residing in Washington, DC, she served as the media spokesperson for the DC dietetic association and regularly appeared in print, television and radio including the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and on Emeril Green with Chef Emeril Lagasse. She is frequently quoted in Allure, Today’s Dietitian and Men’s Health Magazines.

Colleen organizes and conducts “Destination Wellness” group travel that involves immersion into new experiences and health-promoting habits that can transform and promote long-lasting positive health effects at home – in everyday life.
Just as the right diet is critical for overall health and fitness, Colleen believes the X-Force training system is the necessary and perfect complement to all other activities including those she enjoys especially hiking, yoga and tennis.
